There are several playing modes available in PlayStation Move Heroes to add more diversity into the game. One example is Whip Mode. This particular mode works just like any platforming game wherein players can use the analog control of the Move to determine your character’s move in the game. You can snap back at your enemies and timing is critical here to cause maximum damage. This is one of the purest examples of why this technology is a must on the PlayStation console, especially since it opens up more possibilities into the gameplay. In another mode called Gun, players have the ability to use guns the way they do with the whip. However, you need to collect crystals in addition to battling with your enemies. EA’s Shift franchise has established itself as one of the front runners in the racing genre. Scheduled for release on the second quarter of 2011, Slightly Mad Studios developed Shift 2 Unleashed is set to change the way you do racing on the PS3. This particular game is aimed to whittle away from the most common problem faced by racing games, which lacks the actual feeling of driving and tend to focus more on the superficial aspects of racing.

Shift 2 Unleashed is a follow up to Shift, which was released way back in 2009. This new game shuffles between a fun and thrill ride with that of a realistic racing simulator. Thus, players have the freedom to romp through the stages in an old arcade fashion, or launch a racing career and establish dominance on the track. There is also enough controls available that enable you to choose the settings you want, whether it be to lower (or raise) the difficulty level, ask for driving assistance, or choose from a wide array of expensive cars to race.

Shift 2 Unleashed will also integrate some of the key elements from its predecessors such as leveling, experience points, track interaction, and performance badges. However, expect this game to pile on lots of realism to make it truly stand out. The most notable feature in this game is the full Elite simulate mode, which is inspired from other topnotch racing games like Gran Turismo and Forza. The damage system also works really well such that some vehicles show visible signs of crash on their body by the end of the race. Aside from the vehicle, you can also see debris flying through the air whenever a crash happens on the track.

To combine with the enhanced damage system to bring in more realism into Shift 2 Unleashed for the PS3, the game physics have been improved as well. Now, controlling your vehicle has a closer simulation to driving a real car. All other elements on the race track also create a significant impact on how well (or poorly) you perform in your driving.

The much improved artificial intelligence will add some challenge into the racing experience. Don’t expect your racing competitors to be a mere shoo-in since they too can compete on the track. You will have all the tools you need in Shift 2 Unleashed though to ensure that you can improve your game, such as the stat meters and other form of tweak settings. All of these changes were done to establish a deeper connection between the car and its driver.

The developers at Slightly Mad Studios have worked hard on developing an innovative new feature for Shift 2 Unleashed, which is the helmet cam. This is an optional point of view that transforms a disembodied point of view into an actual head and neck for a more realistic racing simulation. However, this feature is not suited for everyone, especially if you are running 200 mph on the racetrack with lots of carbon and fiber being hurled on the air. It is going to be a scary ride. This perspective is as close as you can get to taking hold of that wheel. The cam also realistically recreates the vision of blurring that goes when you near a corner and you are running at extremely high speeds. The thrill that is offered by this new vision should be something that you need to be extra careful of. Learn to focus on the race before someone overtakes you from behind to take the lead.

Another major feature to look out for in Shift 2 Unleashed is the part that Autolog plays with this game, which is the same social engine that was featured in Hot Pursuit. You can use it to create your own profile, add friends, post photos into your gallery, and all other things to update your friends what is going on with your racer. It therefore adds an interactive atmosphere into the game such that it makes it even more rewarding to establish your achievements in the race knowing that people in your network can see them.

The developers proudly claim that Shift 2 Unleashed is going to deliver highly detailed cars, drivers, and tracks. But as it turned out, the game is more than that. This rhythm game is delivered to fans by Ubisoft wherein you can make your dream of becoming like the King of Pop a reality.

This Spring, put on your dancing shoes as The Michael Jackson Experience is bound to add more musical sensation on the PS3. The best part about this new game from Ubisoft is that it does not limit itself to a musical game, but rather shifts into a full performance gaming. Fans have seen dancing games in the past, and so have they singing games. But these two together? Rarely. And this is what makes this game truly stand out as it will be the first time that both singing and dancing will be simultaneously integrated into a single game that will offer a whole new challenge, even for Michael Jackson fans.

The integration of the PlayStation Move technology into the PS3 version for The Michael Jackson Experience has already been confirmed. Meanwhile, PS3 gamers will also get a microphone peripheral to go with it since they will exclusively get a separate singing mode for this version.

All of the dance routines that were incorporated into this game were all developed from scratch. AirStrike II: Gulf Thunder is a fresh sequel to AirStrike II, arguably the most exciting 3D indie helicopter combat action game ever released. The new sequel follows in the footsteps of its ‘parent’ and takes it to the limit.

The centerpiece of AirStrike II: Gulf Thunder is a new terrorist base, well defended and cleverly designed to make any head-on attack pointless. This time around, the terrorists created a new monstrous weapon and a new type of explosives. Naturally, the only way to stop the destruction is to annihilate the opponents while they are on the move. After this is done, the player has to carefully plan the assault on the core base, which is defended by the towers and is fortified with a new type of metal alloy.

AirStrike II: Gulf Thunder has 15 new levels. There is a whole lot of ‘desert flying’ to do because this add-on is Iraq-based. The battle scene is littered with burning oil barrels and is packed with industrial objects where sneaky terrorist land units can hide to give them unfair advantage. All 3D objects are remarkably well designed and bear a distinct AirStrike II style touch.

The choice of helicopters in Airstrike II: Gulf Thunder is limited to 3 iron birdies, but all of the machines are pure joy to pilot and attack with. The difficulty level has been increased a couple of notches, so the game should please the most demanding hard-core gamers. Even diehard helicopter simulator fans are likely to get hooked on the game instantly.

As in previous versions of the game, there are briefings with the general who points out mission objectives and gives hints how to outsmart opponents.

AirStrike 2 is finally here. Get ready for brand new land, air and water units –armored vehicles, heavy helicopters, submarines, destroyers, carriers, speedboats. Missions take place over water, desert, high in the mountains and over densely populated areas.

While the enemies have become tougher and more deadly, players can now upgrade and modify weapons themselves to meet the challenge. The level of details for 3D objects is incredibly high, so when you clinch the trigger to blow things up, they fly apart into hundreds of small pieces.

Now the iron birdies with deadly “claws” and “beaks” each have a set of unique characteristics. These Death Machines are armed with lethal weapons that the UN has outlawed long ago. One flying monster could probably carry out genocide in a few small countries with hard-to-pronounce names.

Most importantly, now you can participate in air battles to test your pilot skills against your enemies’. Helicopter duels are both incredibly challenging and engaging, making your palms sweat and your hurt pump the blood-adrenaline mixture all over the body to give you the energy for survival. But when you see all other birdies lose their wings and crash down, that’s how nirvana feels like.

In addition to new terrain types and environments, AirStrike 2 features terramorphing, which changes the landscape as a direct result of your actions.
